I’m watching my roses bloom (yes, I live in Roseville, California!) and decided on Layers of Beauty for my card this week. We have a color challenge at Create With Stamping Friends using Daffodil Delight, Real Red, and Garden Green.
Here’s the challenge:
And here’s my card:
My Recipe:
- Daffodil Delight Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
- Basic White Cardstock, 5″x 3-3/4″
- Beautiful Bokeh DSP in Daffodil Delight, 4-7/8″x 3-5/8″
- Layers of Beauty stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Basic White Cardstock, cropped with coordinating dies, and colored with:
- Real Red and Daffodil Delight Blends
- Garden Green Ink Refill and a Blender Pen
- Sentiment from Layers of Beauty stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black
- Antique Pearls for embellishments
We don’t have a Garden Green Blender Pen (I have always wondered why!) so I colored the leaves using Garden Green Ink Refill, dropped onto a surface and picked up with a Blender Pen. It worked well!
A little bit of Wink of Stella in the centers of the flowers adds a pretty finish!
