How Does Your Garden Grow? (for CC2C)

Good morning! It’s time for CASEing Coast to Coast with Rosanne Mulhern in Pennsylvania and me in California! This month I’ve chosen the theme for our post, “How Does Your Garden Grow?”, so sit back and enjoy our cross country adventure, this month from…

“How Does Your Garden Grow?” is a theme that could go many different directions when making cards! I’ve chosen Meandering Meadow DSP to show a beautiful walk through nature’s garden (or possibly someone’s planted walkway!) I’ve broken it up into four quadrants for visual interest, and embellished it with a basket of hand-picked flowers.

Here are the details:
  • Blueberry Bushel Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Meandering Meadow DSP, cut into four pieces, two measuring 2″x 3-1/8″ and two 2″x 2″
  • Basic White label, 2-3/8″x 1-5/8″, cropped with Perennial Postage Dies
  • Sentiment from Garden Meadow, stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink
  • Floral basket from Country Flowers Bundle, stamped with Memento Black and colored with Blends: Pecan Pie, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, and Berry Burst
  • Single Rhinestone Basic Jewel on basket

On the inside:
  • Basic White Cardstock, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Country Flowers Bundle
  • Memento Tuxedo Black, Pecan Pie, and Shaded Spruce ink pads
  • Blends: Light Berry Burst, Pretty in Pink, Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green, Pecan Pie, Gray Granite, and Color Lifter

I decided to wait on the inside sentiment so I can pick something appropriate for the person I will send it to. It could go so many ways – birthday, get well, miss you. I love keeping things versatile!

The layout, the beautiful natural setting on the DSP and the added basket of flowers just make this card the ultimate “garden” experience. And you are so right that this would be a card to bring smiles for so many occasions. The inside was an added special surprise! Until next month….
