Holiday Gift Box – Pizza Style!

This week’s holiday project comes in the form of a Mini Pizza Box! I love these little boxes for gift card sets. You can easily fit six mini 3″x 3″ cards and envelopes into one box. Today it’s all about glam ~ beautiful gold, white, and shine.

I found this gorgeous paper in a pack of Designer Series Paper called All Is Bright. Much of the pack has your traditional red and green, but this sheet – ooooh, so pretty with gold, silver, and clear Christmas bulbs. It looks photo-real. Here is the whole pack:

I cut a 3-1/4″ square and glued it to the top of the Mini Pizza Box. Then I glued 7/8″ x 3-1/4″ strips of Gold Foil around the four sides.

After filling it with the little gift cards, I wrapped a length of Gold Metallic Edged Ribbon around the box and added a loop of Gold Mini Sequin Trim. The tiny tag is from the Wood Crate Framelits Dies, stamped with an Itty Bitty Greeting in Basic Gray. Of course, I tied it on with Gold Thread! Bling bling!

The 3″ x 3″ mini cards are made to match, with the same DSP layered over Gold Foil Sheets (I cropped a large circle out of the middle before layering – no point in wasting good Foil Sheets!) I stamped Merry & Bright from Merry Christmas To All with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder.

Some Gold Sequins add more sparkle to the front. Small left-over strips were added to the envelopes, then I popped them into the box. I think it will make a nice gift for someone!

Pals Blog Hop Today

Did you catch the Pals Blog Hop today? I didn’t enter into the Hop this month, but several of my friends did, and I’m sure there will be lots of nice ideas to view. Check it out here.

Have a great day! I’ll be back on Friday with another idea, a rather unconventional idea, to share with you. “See” you then!

  1. This is just drop dead gorgeous with a capital “B” in bling. The cards and envelopes as well. I can’t wait until my shares come so I can see this paper in person. Love how you added a gold foil strip on the sides of the box. If you are needing a well intentioned fellow PAL to receive this, I would be more than happy to find it in my mailbox. I have a feather tree with old fashioned mini mercury silver ornaments on it and this would look stunning sitting at the base of it. Just saying…… am I pathetic or what???

  2. What a charming project. I love that you even decorated the mini envelopes! This is one of my favorite DSPs, too and it turns this into a really stunning giftie or even a great craft fair item. Thanks for sharing all your expertise.

  3. Well done Karen!!! You took amazing DSP and created a clean beautiful card and box!! LOVE THEM!!!

  4. HOME RUN! I just adore projects like this! I think that these darn Pizza Boxes are just the cutest thing down the pike!!! WOOT-WOOT…..right up my alley, thanks for inspiring me and making me smile!

  5. This project just sparkles and shines, Karen! You’ve really done justice to that pretty paper with the added embellishments and embossing.

  6. Good Morning Karen, Well!!! I did not know a gift card fits into these little pizza boxes. I cannot tell you how excited I am. Your decorations on this box . . . and those cards . . . are beautiful. Thanks for reminding us about the Blog Hop. Hope to see you in it next month.
    Have a blessed day.
    🙂
