Gingerbread Triangle Tri-Fold

Always up for a challenge, I decided to give this Triangle Tri-Fold a go. I watched a video on SplitCoastStampers if you want to take a few minutes to watch it. A couple simple changes I made ~ I left off the extra DSP, used Vellum for the triangles, and the Sweet Gingerbread Bundle for the focal point and inside. Also, I tied my bow at the top instead of on the side. Here is my Gingerbread Triangle Tri-Fold.

Sweet, yes? Here is what I used:
  • Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
  • Snowflake Specialty Vellum
  • Sweet Gingerbread Bundle: Crumb Cake, Sweet Sorbet, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Highland Heather, Basic Black, Basic White, Glossy White (retired)
  • White 1/2″ ribbon
  • Layering Circles Dies
  • Red Rhinestones

For measurements and cutting/folding technique, please refer to the Splitcoaststampers video.

This is how it looks when it’s completely opened.

And a little closer look at the inside.

I figured out how to glue the gingerbread house circle so that it is facing vertically when you open it as well as when it’s closed. Wrap the ribbon around the left third of the cardstock base, tails up. Glue the circle only on the part that touches the vellum triangle. The glue should also glue down the ribbon underneath the circle, so make sure you have enough to make a nice bow when it’s closed.

This is a fun Fun Fold, if not a bit of a challenge on your first try. But look how cool it is when you’re done! Total satisfaction (even if you only make one!) Give it to your friend that will recognize your effort 🙂 Let me know how it goes! And if you have any questions, I’ll try to answer them…
