Gathered Leaves for October Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for “My Favorite Season”  – showcasing our favorite stamps and supplies for our holiday project.  You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I love all the Fall/Winter Holidays! I’ve chosen to show you a Thanksgiving card today. This is a holiday that is all about family, food, and gratitude for all our blessings. We get together with extended family each year and everyone helps with the dinner, so no one is a stressed-out hostess! It’s fun to sit around the table, visit with friends and family members that we don’t see often. My husband likes Thanksgiving for the football, but that’s another story! 🙂

I’ve gathered up a bunch of leaves from the appropriately named Gathered Leaves Die set and arranged them into a bouquet. I used Merry Merlot, Terracotta Tile, Grapefruit Grove, and Copper Foil Sheets to make the gorgeous leaves. The Merry Merlot sprigs are from In The Woods Die Set.

I stamped the sentiment using part of a stamp from Seasonal Wreaths. I only wanted “Grateful,” so I masked off the rest of the stamp. Then I stamped the inside with another sentiment also from Seasonal Wreaths, “Life is better with you.”

That cute little leaf in Grapefruit Grove is found in To Every Season. For the DSP on the front and the envelope, I used Come To Gather. The ribbon is Grapefruit Grove 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon, and the Terracotta Tile Faceted Dots are from the In Color collection.

Measurements:
  • Terracotta Tile – 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Grapefruit Grove – 5″x 3-3/4″
  • Early Espresso – 4-7/8″x 3-5/8″ for front, 5″x 3-3/4″ for inside
  • Come To Gather DSP – 4-3/4″x 3-1/2″ for front, 4-1/4″x 7/8″ for envelope
  • Whisper White – 4-7/8″x 3-5/8″ for inside
