Frames & Flowers For You

Welcome back to my Frames & Flowers series! Today is #2. Yesterday I made a floral get well card. If you missed it, you can see it HERE. Today I’ve made a 4-1/4″ square card to house this pretty punch-out wreath for my sentiment. It’s Frames & Flowers for you!

I chose to use the back side of two sheets of the DSP, the first layer being the Calypso Coral tiny flower print, and the second layer a plain Lost Lagoon solid. I like the less-busy sides to back this vibrant wreath!

The square in the middle of the wreath is attached to the wreath when you punch it out. But I decided to cut it out and lift it up with Dimensionals. This gave me room to tuck the deconstructed twine bow underneath. The sentiment is from Layering Leaves and I stamped it with Calypso Coral.

Here are the measurements:
  • Calypso Coral base, 8-1/2″x 4-1/4″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Frames & Flowers DSP, Coral flowers, 4″x 4″
  • Frames & Flowers DSP, Lost Lagoon solid, 3-1/2″x 3-1/2″
  • Center square, 1-3/8″
    • Cut with a craft knife or Paper Trimmer. Back it with Basic White Cardstock for some stability. Adhere it back into its square with Dimensionals.

To finish it off, I sprinkled and glued some Iridescent Sequin Assortment (last year’s embellishment) randomly over the front. The colors go perfectly with this paper. [They should have kept it in the catalog! IMO!]

I love that the punch-outs have some perfectly sized sprigs for the insides of cards!

Tomorrow is Create With Stamping Friends day. I’ll be posting my card to fit their challenge, then back on Friday with another idea for Frames & Flowers. One more look at this one ~

  1. So glad you like it! I always look at the DSP for color inspiration. There’s some beautiful color combinations in our paper!

Pretty card. I’m going to case both cards.
