Butterfly Gala Note Card

My friend, Jessica, asked me for some thank you note cards. She likes the smaller Note Card & Envelope size, so I’m creating a variety for her. I thought I’d start out with this one, using the Butterfly Gala stamp set and coordinating Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper ~

I love the way it turned out (I hope she does too!) First I started with a Whisper White Note Card. They measure 5″ x 3-1/2″ and I cut a piece of the black and white butterfly print the same size to cover the entire front.

Did you know this DSP is FREE? When you order $50 worth of products from any current catalog or Clearance Rack, you can choose this paper as a free item! It is a full pack of 12″ x 12″ paper with colorful butterflies on one side and all black & white designs on the other.

Isn’t it beautiful? the colors are so pretty! It is item #149622 in the Sale-A-Bration 2019 Brochure.

Next I used a piece of Whisper White and cropped it with a stitched framelit set that I have from another company. The size is approximately 2″ x 3″, and I layered it on a slightly larger piece of Balmy Blue, then rounded the corners. The greeting stamps are from A Big Thank You. This panel was popped up with Dimensionals.

The most fun part was stamping and coloring the butterflies. These two butterflies comes on one stamp. But when you punch it out with the Butterfly Duet Punch, they punch out separately. I colored them with my Blends – Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green. The stamp set and punch are bundled and if you purchase them that way, you will save 10%.

To finish it off with a hint of sparkle, I added three self-adhesive sequins from the Gingham Gala Sequins.

I put glue down the centers of the butterflies only, and gently lifted their wings slightly. It looks like they just landed on the card and will fly away any minute!

Would you like to own these products for your own creations? Just click HERE and place an order for $50 or more, then select the DSP for your free gift. I’ll even do the math for you! Order Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes ($6.50 for a pack of 20), Balmy Blue Cardstock ($8.50 for 24 sheets), Butterfly Gala Bundle ($35 for the stamp set and punch) = $50. If you order these basics from my online store and use Host Code #Z4FSRAF4, I will send you the Butterfly Gala Self-Adhesive Sequins as a FREE gift from me! Then of course, you can also get the Designer Series Paper as your free Sale-A-Bration gift. Now you’re on your way to making some beautiful note cards!

  1. Such a lovely card, Karen. I love the black and white paper as a background for the focal point sentiment and beautifully colored butterflies.
I was of the same mind originally~”Really, do I NEED this suite?? I’ll just use what I have.” Well, I succumbed. [Now I can integrate retired stuff with new.] Besides, I HAD to have that paper…

  2. Your friend will definitely love this card…I do! The butterflies are beautifully colored and just POP against the black/white background. Can’t wait to see more!

  3. Oh Karen this is so pretty. I didn’t really want another butterfly set, but I have been seeing beautiful cards with this. Thanks for sharing.
    Have a blessed day.
    🙂

    • I had the same reaction when I first saw these butterflies in the catalog, Nancy, but when I saw them stamped and colored I was sold! They are very different than the ones we had before.
