Botanical Bundle of Wishes

Gosh, it’s been over a week since I last blogged. All I can say is that life happens and blogging takes a back seat! I hope you haven’t given up on me!! I have a card to show you today that I CASEd off a Pinterest post I found. The original was made by Ann Lewis from Australia. Her card caught my eye and I had to try it…

I am loving my newly acquired Botanical Blooms Bundle. I can see why the framelits were back ordered for so long – they’re amazing! The colors I used in this card are Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and Very Vanilla with Basic Black. The DSP is from Botanical Gardens. The sentiment is from Lovely Amazing You. The gold glitter strip is our new Metallics Glitter Tape (free Sale-A-Bration item #141020) taped to a strip of white card stock and cut in half lengthwise to make a narrow 1/4″ strip.

I thought the Vanilla paper needed a little more weight to the back, so I glued it to a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Basic Black card stock. It definitely balanced out the weight of the card and gave it more body. Plus I like the black to go with the DSP on the front.
