Birthday Balloon Ride

Have any of you put “ride in a hot air balloon” on your birthday bucket list? I see these beautiful balloons float by every so often, and I think I would enjoy a birthday balloon ride. It seems like it would be so peaceful, drifting up there, looking down at everything! I don’t have a fear of heights. My husband, however, prefers his feet planted firmly on the ground, lol! Which camp are you in?

I love this cloudy paper from Take To The Sky DSP for this card. Even if you’re not into planes and aviation, you’ll love the colors and patterns of this paper!

Card Details:
  • Misty Moonlight Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Basic White layer, 5-1/8″x 3-7/8″
  • Take To The Sky DSP, 5″x 3-3/4″
  • Balloons stamped and cropped from Hot Air Balloons in Misty Moonlight, Peach Pie, Basic White, Crumb Cake, and Lemon Lolly
  • Sentiment from Hot Air Balloons in Misty Moonlight, cropped with coordinating dies
  • Three sparkly gems

I drew the white details on the Lemon Lolly/Misty Moonlight balloon with a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen. The large balloon and sentiment banner are adhered with Dimensionals.

So, what’s on your birthday bucket list?

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week ~

In case you’re not sure why I provide a monthly Host Code, here’s the explanation: Entering a Host Code ensures that you are shopping with the Demonstrator you intend to use. It also helps me compile Host Rewards which then in turn helps me to buy thank you gifts for those of you who purchase products through my site. If your purchase exceeds $150, then skip the Host Code. You will earn your own rewards for your purchase at that $ level.

If you purchase $75 or more, I will send you a thank you gift that I determine for each month. This month I’m sending out card kits that have a patriotic theme for the upcoming Independence Day. If your purchase is less than $75, I will thank you with a handmade card that I have designed. No matter which way you choose, you will receive something for naming me your Demonstrator. I always appreciate your orders! Thank you so much!

Fun, the cloud DSP works so well with the hot air balloons as well as the airplanes. I always thought the hot air balloons would be fun to experience but in reality I think I prefer to watch them while on the ground. There is a huge hot air balloon festival not too far from Pella so we get to see some of them in the air. Fun to watch but man they are noises with gobs of them in a field when they go up. Great birthday card

    • Thanks, Chris! We had one land on our street one year up in Kennewick, WA. That was pretty interesting!
