Autumn Leaves (for CSF 840)

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends and my Thursday post! Today I’ve busted out the leaves (finally) in an attempt to spur on some Fall weather! I hope it works! We have a Color Challenge today and I’ve stamped three Autumn Leaves in these colors ~

Here’s my card:

I tried a couple of new things with this card. First off, I stamped onto Basic Beige – a warmer color than Basic White, but I found that the ink didn’t absorb quite as nicely as it does with our smooth white. Not bad, just different! Then I tried something new with the sub-sentiment. I stamped it on a piece of Basic Beige, cut it into a narrow strip, then scored and folded on each end. It gives the strip some dimension. I glued either end down then put a Mini Dimensional right in the middle to hold in down in the center. Yeah, different. What do you think?

Here’s the recipe:
  • Wild Wheat Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Basic Beige Cardstock, 5-1/4″x 4″
    • Stamped with Autumn Leaves in Cajun Craze, Wild Wheat, and Mossy Meadow
    • Textured with Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder
  • Sentiment stamped with Mossy Meadow top right corner and on a 3/8″ strip of Basic Beige
    • Stamp, then cut strip to 4″x 3/8″
  • Three 2023-25 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots (Our new Faux Glass Dots look great too!)

Technically, I’m breaking the rules, as these leaf punches retired a while ago. But it turned out pretty cute, so I thought I’d give you a peek. I found these little punches when I unpacked my stuff into my new Casita/Craft Room. The move has been difficult, but I must say- I found a lot of things I had been missing for awhile! It’s a bit like Christmas every day when cutting open these boxes!

Alright, now let’s go over to Create with Stamping Friends to see what the other Designers made with these three colors!

Have a wonder-fall day!

  1. Love it! I bought a pack of the basic beige but have not even opened it. I think I will now, as I have been asked to make like 80 cards for a nursing facility. It will be a nice change with all the autumn colors. I plan on using lots of retired DSP. Then, next month I have been asked to come and help them make cards. This is a new adventure for me. Stamping the leaves and then embossing with the leaf EF will be a big help with great results. Thanks for your inspiration!
