A Bit of Whimsy

I thought I’d try a little watercoloring today, so I busted out my Blender Pen and the You’re Sublime stamp set, and had some fun!

This stamp set is so fun and whimsical – and the perfect images for watercoloring.  You’ll find it in the Annual Catalog on page 45.  Or you can click on the image to go straight to the order page!  It comes in eitherClear Mount or Wood Mount stamps.

I started with a wash of water and Soft Sky ink over the whole 3″ x 3″ piece of watercolor paper.  When that dried, I stamped the image in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Basic Black embossing powder.  This gives a bright shiny black outline in which to add watercolor.

The colors I used were Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, and Pumpkin Pie.

I added the clear Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers to the windows for a fun touch.

The DSP can be found in the Have a Cuppa DSP Stack, 2016 Occasions Catalog, page 35.  The finished card size is 4 1/4″ square.  It fits in a regular sized envelope, and I lined the back flap with Bermuda Bay paper from the Designer Series Paper Stack, Annual Catalog page 144.

This card is going to my grandson in Seattle, because he is the most sublime character I’ve ever known!!!

Back tomorrow with a card for the Pals Paper Arts challenge.  See you then!
